Tart Lime & Garlic Oven Roasted Chicken Drumsticks

Our pasture raised chicken drumstick topped with the perfect marinade made with simple ingredients!

This recipe is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters!

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 large lime, juiced, or more to taste
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • topping add fresh limes and cilantro to the top of the dish once cooked.
  • 8-12 chicken drumsticks


  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, oregano, parsley, and pepper in a gallon-size resealable plastic bag. Add chicken drumsticks, coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. (If time allows the longer the chicken sits in the marinade the more flavor it will have. Can be done a day in advanced if left to sit in the refrigerator.)
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Remove drumsticks from marinade, shake off excess, and arrange on the baking sheet. Save remaining marinade.
  • Roast in the preheated oven until browned, about 25 minutes. Flip chicken and baste with juices; and remaining marinade. Continue cooking until browned on the second side, 10 to 15 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  • topping add fresh limes and cilantro to the top of the dish once cooked.
  • Let the chicken set and rests for 5minutes before serving.
